Remember When?

Step back in time to a whole different pace. The Martinez Cow Camp hasn't changed very much in the last century and the people in it like it that way. The lights are a bit more modern and the shower is a definite Yee-Ha, but it still has that long time ago feel with a place to stow your gear, get some quality shut eye and some great grub. Conversation about the days adventures, stories of ol' and a few hunting lies are the entertainment du jour.

Elk -Muzzle Loader

Primitive is how we like it! The October muzzleloader hunt is one of our guides favorites. Screaming bulls and frosty mornings are the perfect formula for success.

Whites Vega, the Valdez, Trujillo and the Potato Patch. Just some of the names that will become seared in your memory as you look across these majestic meadows for the first time through a scope. Just remember, take a deep breath and s-q-u-e-e-z-e!

Turkey Hunting

"Any brave can get a deer, but it takes a Chief to get a turkey" If you love chasing longbeards , then hunting gobblers in the Martinez Canyon is more fun than you can stand! Large meadows, high pine covered ridges and year round creeks make for some of the best turkey country you will find.

Bear Hunting

If you live for the rush, we have just the medicine. Bear hunting is an up close and personal event and will get the heart pumping on even the most steady of hand. Bow, muzzleloader or rifle...you choose the weapon, we have the place.
